Signing In
Geekonomics supports two sign-up paths and a self-service password reset flow.
Creating a new company (cloud)
If you're using the hosted version at books.geekonomics-app.com, sign up creates a brand-new company tenant for you.
- Go to books.geekonomics-app.com and click Sign up
- Enter your name, company name, email, and a password
- Submit — you're logged in and dropped into the Dashboard
The account you create is the first admin of that company. You can invite more users later from the Admin Console.
Self-hosted installs
On a fresh self-hosted install, the first visitor is taken through the three-step Setup Wizard instead of the sign-up form. See Getting Started for the wizard walkthrough.
Signing in
- Go to your Geekonomics URL
- Enter your email and password
- Click Sign in
If your admin set a temporary password for you, you'll be asked to change it on first sign-in.
Forgot your password?
If you forget your password and your tenant has email enabled, you can reset it yourself:
- On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?
- Enter your email address and submit
- Check your inbox for a reset link
- Click the link, choose a new password (minimum 8 characters), and submit
The reset link expires after one hour. If it expires before you use it, just request a new one.
Email not configured?
The forgot-password feature requires SMTP to be configured — either platform-wide by the host, or per-tenant in Settings → Email (SMTP). If neither is configured, the link is hidden and an admin will need to reset your password manually from the Admin Console. See SMTP & Email for setup.
Signing out
Click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar and choose Sign out.
